LearnPlant is an online language learning platform founded by Sherebanu to meet the increasing demand for learning languages. Learn French with Shere is the first product of LearnPlant where Shere teaches the French language directly to her students face to face online. Learning on the platforms starts with registration and ends with planting trees.

  • Registration

    Users are required to first register as students to be able to purchase and book lessons. After submitting the required information, one can now pay for the selected package and start learning.

  • Payment

    Payment is safe and secure and can be made via PayPal or Via Debit/Credit Cards. Once payment is completed, the number of lessons purchased will appear in the student’s ledger. A notification confirming the payment will be sent to the user’s email address. A user can only get one free trial lesson.

  • Lessons Details

    User can access lessons details on the credit’s ledger which displays purchased, booked and remaining lessons. The user can book a lesson from this page. This view also provide links to past, cancelled and upcoming lessons and also payment history.

  • Booking Lessons

    Classes are scheduled by booking the available lessons on the credit’s ledger. Booking is made by selecting available time slots on the tutor’s time sheet. Confirmation of booking is emailed to the student immediately. Incase the desired time for learning is unavailable, a student can request the tutor asking if an arrangement can be made for the lesson to be carried out at the preferred time by emailing her at shere@learnplant.com.

  • Learning

    Lessons are 45 minutes long and are conducted purely online one-to-one (Tutor to student). The tutor will share extra learning materials for the student to use after or during the lesson. Once the lesson is completed, the lesson credits will decrement automatically and a notification of lesson completion will be sent by email.

  • Lesson Cancellation Policy

    A student may cancel/reschedule a booked lesson but only 2 hours before the lesson start time. If not, the student’s lessons credit will be deducted for the missed lesson unless the student communicates to the tutor and she agrees not to charge the cancellation where the deducted lesson shall be reinstated.

  • Planting Trees

    For every package purchased, the company will plant a number of trees on behalf of the student. This is an ecological gesture and serves as reducing the student’s carbon footprint.
